Reach Out In Touch delivers trauma-informed programming for youth in schools, juvenile justice facilities, and communities across Philadelphia — building self-worth, safety, and futures.
"To reach, restore, and empower individuals and families through compassionate outreach, education, and wraparound support that rebuilds lives and strengthens communities."
Reach Out In Touch (ROIT) is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit founded by Dawn Parish to serve youth and women across Philadelphia and surrounding counties. We go where young people are — into schools, juvenile justice facilities, and community spaces — with programming built around dignity, not judgment.
Our five program areas address the full arc of what young people face: identity and self-worth, exploitation and trafficking prevention, mental health and crisis support, family preservation, and reentry after incarceration.
Her Worth — Youth identity, self-image, and digital wellness
Safe and Found — Anti-trafficking prevention and survivor support
Hold On — Mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis support
Reunited — Family preservation and reunification
New Ground — Prison reentry and reintegration
Dawn Parish founded Reach Out In Touch from lived understanding of what Philadelphia families face. Her work is personal, persistent, and rooted in the belief that every person — regardless of where they have been — deserves a path forward. Dawn delivers every ROIT program herself, bringing authenticity and trust into every room she enters.
Two signature program tracks — one for schools, one for juvenile justice facilities — built around the same core belief: every young person's story is still being written.
Six age-tiered modules delivered in Philadelphia schools and surrounding communities. Trauma-informed, mixed-gender, and designed to meet young people exactly where they are.
Four sessions for youth in secure detention and residential juvenile justice facilities. Non-judgmental, dignity-centered, and built for the realities of confinement.
Every student brings home a family communication sheet after each session. Written in plain language, it tells parents what their child learned, gives conversation starters for that evening, and shows families how to continue the work at home.
Every ROIT participant receives a resource card. These numbers are included in all program materials and referenced in every session.
ROIT is community-powered. There are meaningful ways to support this work no matter who you are.
If you are a principal, counselor, or school district partner, reach out to schedule the Reach Out, Rise Up program in your building. Sessions are flexible and can be adapted to your schedule.
We are seeking introductions to school principals and DHS leadership to bring Reach In into juvenile justice facilities. A letter of support from your office can open doors directly.
Community members with lived experience, local professionals, and youth advocates are welcomed as guest speakers and program volunteers. Your story is a resource.
ROIT programs are free to participants. Donations, sponsorships, and in-kind support help us reach more young people and expand into new schools and facilities. Contact Dawn to discuss how your support makes an impact.
